Update on OT Bonus Eligibility Under Quality Reporting Initiative
AOTA advocacy recently resulted in the inclusion of occupational therapists in the Medicare Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) program, under the quality measure "screening for future fall risk." Get the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' PQRI program overview online, along with new PQRI coding and reporting guidelines.

AOTA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) seek to understand the barriers to developing driving and community mobility programs for older adults. Researchers Identify Quality of Life Predictors Among Older Adults
A new study, published in Research in Nursing & Health, has identified predictors of quality of life for older adults. Financial resources, health, and meaning in life directly and positively affected quality of life. The physical environment and emotional support indirectly affected quality of life.
