Occupational Therapy Improves Quality of Life for Clients With Dementia and Caregivers
Occupational therapy significantly improves overall functioning and reduces the need for assistance in day-to-day tasks, according to a new study in the British Medical Journal. In addition, occupational therapy also reduces pressure on caregivers and helps them feel more competent.

CMS Clarifies Exceptions Process
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has issued new information about the therapy cap exceptions process and related documentation requirements. CMS also has provided corrections to the list of conditions and complexities for which automatic exceptions are allowed and has announced the therapy cap financial limitation for 2007.
